Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 yellow onion, finely diced

1 pound ground beef

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

4–6 cloves garlic, minced

3 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves removed

1 sprig fresh rosemary, finely chopped

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 1/2 cups beef broth
-
1 pound gnocchi
-
1 cup frozen peas and carrots

1/4 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook for about 3–4 minutes until soft.

Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.

Stir in tomato paste and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute to deepen the flavour. Season with salt and pepper

Add minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Stir in gnocchi and frozen peas and carrots. Cover and cook for 4–5 minutes until the gnocchi is tender.

Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes creamy.

Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed. Serve warm with extra Parmesan on top.
