Cooking can be tricky. Some dishes can stick to the bottom of the pan from getting too hot, while others are better cooked on a rack, but that can be so time-consuming and can change the way you wanted to cook. At least, maybe until now. With our ceramic 7-inch Versa round roasting rack and bone broth insert, you can easily make delicious and healthy bone broth, meat, seafood, and even vegetables. One of the great things about using ceramic for cooking is that you can cook a variety of foods in a variety of ways. Our insert can be used in the oven in an Xtrema pot or baking dish. This rack fits all Versa pots ranging from 2.5 quarts to 10 quarts.

When you're an experienced home cook, you want to provide your family with the healthiest cookware options available. Made of pure ceramic, our 7-inch Versa round roasting rack and bone broth insert offer health benefits, even heating, versatility, durability, and many more benefits. Each piece is handcrafted and fired in a kiln at 2500 degrees. Our ceramic pieces can be used in the oven, microwave, and even the toaster oven. When you're done the cooking, throw it in the dishwasher, and your clean-up is done.

Use and Care

Xtrema ceramic cookware is easy to use and even easier to clean. There are four main things to consider when using Xtrema Pure Ceramic Cookware:

  1. Heating - it's always best to start with a low temperature and gradually work up to medium heat. Because Xtrema conducts and retains heat really well, there is no need to use high heat on the stovetop. Rapid or extreme temperature variations can compromise the integrity of your cookware or even cause a thermal crack - so be careful not to put frozen foods or cold water into heated pans.
  2. Cooking - keep your pans lightly oiled and use nylon, silicone or wood utensils to prolong the life of your ceramic cookware. Metal utensils won't scratch the surface, but we prefer other non-reactive options. You will find Xtrema to be very versatile: use it in the oven, on the stovetop, in the microwave, on the barbecue. The possibilities are endless.
  3. Cleaning - even though Xtrema is dishwasher safe, we like to hand wash using a mild detergent with a non-metal scour pad or natural fiber scrub brush. For the tough bits, you can add a little baking soda to the pan. For gentle cleaning, use any type of silicone brush or scrubbing pad. Our ceramic surface is harder than metal so it can't be scratched - but best not to try.
  4. Storing - we like to stack our cookware using specially designed polyester Cookware Protectors. Or, display Xtrema proudly in your kitchen - our products are beautifully handcrafted, so show them off by leaving them out.

Excellent roasting rack!

I tried the Versa Round 7-inch Roasting Rack & Bone Broth Insert to roast red bell peppers on the stove-top. I have always used my oven, but with the summer heat, thought I would try the stove-top. I placed the 7-inch round insert in the bottom of my 2.5 qt Versa Pot, added water til just visible on the insert, snugged 4 whole large red bell peppers in, covered, brought to boil, reduced flame to low, and steam roasted the peppers for 1.5 hours. The pepper skins easily pealed off, then removed seeds & stems. Now I have amazing stove-top roasted pimentos.
